Your politicians don't give a fuck about you.

I've been reading a lot of commentary from people inside, but mostly outside of India on how it is the Indian government's fault for their "stubborn" grip on Kashmir that led to the attacks. One can't help recall the people on 9/11 who snidely talked about the US getting "what it deserved" while most of us were trying to contact family members and friends who work or live in NYC. My friend lives in Mumbai along with his wife & two little kids and thankfully they were not hurt.

Guess there are people everywhere who like to blame the victims, though if I drew a Venn Diagram I think we'd see a fat intersection of the aforementioned groups blaming India and the US. As a friend of mine said, "can we lay the bodies to rest and THEN you can start in on the blame..."

I surprised to that I have not seen yet (or missed it and have not noticed it) that Idia is being blamed because they are our friends. I'm sure that is going to be the new trend, blame the US for being friends with those who get attacked.

It seems like "blame America" has become the international sport of choice world wide. I say we should stop all foreign aid period, then let them see how the world really is without America always lending a helping hand.

It is cowardice.  Pure and simple.  They can blame the US and India because we are civilized democracies and they know they can get away with it.  To blame the real criminals would invite retribution which they are afraid of.

The old Soviet joke - "WE can stand in Red square and criticize your president too!".
