Why America is Great

Voting today was another reminder of how great America is. For all our disagreements, we CAN disagree. For all our fears, we are a country founding on the idea and hope of Freedom and Democracy. We are all lucky (dare an ardent secularist say blessed) to be here and we shouldn't ever forget the incredible hard work and sacrifice so many have given for this gift.

Let's just take a moment to share in appreciation for the country we love.

as much as i appreciate our current freedoms, i have never in my life felt so sick to my stomach and scared about our country's future. i just hope there aren't any significant fundamental changes in the next two years, and of course the next four years, that won't allow us to undo what has just been done.
